In a world where borders are no longer boundaries, being global has become ever more important. We can be stationed in Miami but sell to individuals in the UAE. Moms in Madrid can video call with their families in South Africa. Businesses in Toronto can build their operations teams with people wired in from Manila, Cartagena, and Bangkok. As Thomas Friedman’s famous book states plainly on the cover, The World is Flat, and it’s a phenomenon here to stay.
Our start-up story is a microcosm of this larger global phenomenon. It is a story of how the world connected us via chance, risk, and the American dream. It’s the immigrant story. It’s the story of friendship. It’s the story of disregarding the status quo of how an industry has always been run. It is the Global Hola story, and we want you to join us.
As we embark on a company journey filled with passion, resilience, and creating a truly global community, we want you to help us change the stagnant, yet continuously growing, outsourcing game.

Seeds of Success
The seeds of Global Hola were sown when all of us founders worked together at Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). Nick, Graham, and Vohn worked together, but we were in different departments and time zones. Nick was originally hired as a data analyst by Graham, the head of the data analytics department, to gather information on the network’s thousands of global entrepreneurs and businesses. On the other side of the globe, Vohn led the outsourcing teams that helped EO’s back-office operations grow with amazing outsourced professionals.
Although we all supported entrepreneurs who were EO members, entrepreneurship did not come naturally to us. Nick left EO to start his first global start-up by winning a competitive grant competition to fund his ed-tech business, Raise Your Text. After failing to gain traction in the industry and an additional job as EO’s process guru, he sold all his stuff and booked a one-way ticket to SE Asia to become a digital nomad.
While in Vietnam during the pandemic, Nick reconnected with Graham and Vohn to talk about how we could all take advantage of global work opportunities while working together. Because we were all remote workers working 100% from our laptops, we understood the value of global connection and collaboration before most businesses were forced into it via the pandemic. Virtual business ideas were formed, and we eventually branched out and created our first business.
Initial Failures & Starting The Business
Initially, it wasn’t all three of us founding a business together. Vohn and Nick launched a venture called Process Zip, aiming to integrate outsourcing and data analysis services. Although the venture did have some initial success, we lost traction and were forced to rethink our strategy. We saw it as an opportunity to learn and evolve, and we pivoted our business strategy to focus solely on outsourcing prime talents from emerging markets such as the Philippines, Latin America, and Vietnam.
Vohn moved from the Philippines to the USA in 2022, and he soon had to adjust to the new American life and business community. As he’s a big fan of Star Wars, we say that the American entrepreneur force is strong with him. He brought Nick and Graham into the fold to create his dream for how outsourcing should be run, not how it’s always been run. Global Hola is that dream. It is about building amazing connections between businesses and global talents to do more than just cost savings. We aim to be the best at creating quality connections between businesses and global talent.
What Global Hola Does
Our Mission: Global Talent. Shared Success.
Global Hola (founded in April 2023) stands as a start-up outsourcing company looking to change how companies and talents experience outsourcing. We empower small and medium businesses with remote work solutions by connecting them with top-tier talent from around the world. Our mission is to achieve shared success between our clients and workforce, promoting global inclusivity in success. By shared success, we mean to emphasize the gain that everyone (businesses, talents, and us) achieves when we at Global Hola make great connections between business and global talents.
Global Hola is unique in that we help businesses identify if outsourcing is even the best strategy for their business. Most outsourcing companies assume that it is and push contracts onto their clients. We don’t think that’s right, and we want everyone to have the best solution designed for them.
Finally, we’re unique in that we don’t prioritize businesses over our workforce. We focus on the mutually beneficial connection between global talent and businesses to help everyone in the picture.
